Game Recap

The Crispus Attucks Flying Tigers started their season opening game slow, but finished with a bang. At the 4 minute mark in the first quarter the score was 9-7. After a quick timeout by coach Christopher Hawkins the Tigers would go on a 32-4 run capped by a show stopping off the backboard dunk by Jamal Harris. The dunk was just one of seven thrown down by the Tigers.
The momentum carried into the second half as the Tigers outpaced the Blue Devils 42-26. Crispus Attucks had five players in double digits. Teyon Scanlan led all scorers with 17 points while chipping in 3 rebounds. Jamal Harris scored 15 with 4 boards. Zac Owens did a little bit of everything scoring 14 points with 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jaiquan Edwards owned the paint while scoring 13 points and pulling in 6 rebounds. Alex Cooley rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Tigers will return to action on Friday, December 2nd as they open up the home schedule with Scecina Memorial (Preseason #21 in 2A).

This game will be a “Blackout” game and all Tiger faithful are encouraged to wear all black!

JV will tip off at 6pm and varsity will start at 7:30.
